Joining TILT was hands down one of the best decisions I’ve made. I didn’t know what to expect my first time at the gym – I was in a fitness rut, feeling pretty bad about myself, and nervous about how it would go – but I was hooked right away. The coaches are so knowledgeable and supportive, the community is welcoming, and the workouts are a lot of fun. Fast forward 3 years and I’m so thankful I took a chance on that first class. I still look forward to working out every day and never would have expected how much stronger I’d be on the inside and out.

Over the three years I’ve been at TILT, has been my lifeline. When I first joined, I wasn’t moving at all in my day-to-day life and as a consequence was severely overweight. Basically all physical activity was a struggle and I was suffering from chronic back pain. I really didn’t think that I’d be able to stick with the classes, I thought they’d be way too hard, but the coaches and community pushed me to challenge myself, find my boundaries, and work to expand them without hurting myself. TILT helped me get to the point where I don’t have to worry if my body can handle physical activity – I know it can.

Since the pandemic started, TILT’s been the one community I never lost touch with. The WODs helped me get out of my office chair to move during lockdown and when some of the restrictions finally lifted, the gym was the first place I went. Thanks to TILT, I’ve been able to stay connected with people in a real way and, as a bonus, I haven’t put on as much pandemic weight as I would have otherwise.
